BLACK-MAX® Gaskets

Halmar stocks a full range of BLACK-MAX® handhole and manhole gaskets. These industry leading products are strong, reliable and long lasting, with leak free performance, performing significantly better than spiral-wound gaskets. The gaskets perform optimally at pressures to 2,000 PSIG and maximum temperatures to 1200° Fahrenheit. The proprietary black foil-reinforced, exfoliated graphite and 316 stainless steel material adheres completely to rough and uneven plates and boiler shells, forming a leak-proof seal with simple installation. In addition, the outer surface allows for quick and easy removal from the mating handhole or manhole plate. These durable gaskets are resistant to many of the chemicals used in boiler water treatment, and will not dry out or lose strength over time.
