Refractory Tiles

For almost fifty years, Halmar has manufactured the highest quality precision refractory tiles in the industry. The process began with the design and fabrication of steel molds in our machine shop. A substantial number of raw materials were tested to identify the ideal mixture of refractory cement and water that created the most durable and heat resistant refractory. Particular attention was focused on the tongue and groove area of the baffle tile molds to ensure a precise fit. The manufacturing process required custom-made equipment to mix and pour the refractory into molds to maintain the integrity of the product. In addition, temperature and humidity controls were critical to ensure the quality of the tiles. As the final step, wooden crates and packing materials were designed, again requiring custom-made equipment, to ensure that the product arrived in perfect condition at our customer’s job site.

We currently have over 300 molds in production, manufacturing replacement boiler refractory tiles for a large number of leading industrial boiler suppliers. The quality of our product has met the exacting standards of our customers in tens of thousands installations around the world.
